Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (transl. Big Master Little Master) is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language science fiction action film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, who co-produced it alongside Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Himanshu Kishan Mehra under Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films. The film features Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles, with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, Sonakshi Sinha, and Ronit Roy in key supporting roles. The story follows two former soldiers as they race against time to save India from an imminent attack orchestrated by a vengeful evil scientist.

Announced in February 2022, principal photography began in January 2023 and concluded by February 2024, with filming locations including Mumbai, Scotland, London, Luton, Abu Dhabi, and Jordan. The soundtrack and musical score were composed by Vishal Mishra and Julius Packiam, while Marcin Laskawiec handled cinematography and Steven H. Bernard took care of editing. With a budget of ₹350 crore (US$42 million), it ranks as one of the most expensive Indian films ever made.

A masked assailant attacks an Indian convoy carrying a deadly weapon and warns the Indian Army that they must race against time to prevent India’s destruction. Captain Misha confronts the masked attacker in Shanghai, impaling him, but his wounds heal miraculously. She reports the incident to Colonel Azad, who instructs her to recruit court-martialed soldiers Firoz (Freddy) and Rakesh (Rocky) for the mission.

Misha and Rocky head to London, where they meet Parminder (Pam), an IT specialist assigned to help them. In London, Azad is shot by the masked assailant. The team infiltrates the London tube to retrieve the stolen package, and Freddy arrives in time to help fend off the attackers. Pam unlocks the vault, revealing the package to be Captain Priya Dixit, Freddy’s ex-girlfriend. To protect the codes for Karan Kavach, an advanced defense system, they were encrypted in Priya’s brain to prevent hacking. The masked assailant and his army capture Priya, revealing himself to be Kabir, a scientist and former friend of Freddy and Rocky.

In the past, Kabir intended to aid the Indian army with a cloning program using Freddy and Rocky’s DNA to create soldiers who could be programmed and used in wars without being killed. When Kabir reveals his plans to use this invention for world domination, Azad orders him to shut it down for ethical reasons. Kabir defects, selling the invention to India’s enemies. Freddy and Rocky are tasked with destroying the program and capturing Kabir alive, but they end up killing him and are court-martialed for disobeying orders, leading to Freddy’s breakup with Priya.

In the present, it is revealed that it was actually Kabir’s clone, Eklavya, who died, and Kabir survived. Vengeful over his clone’s death, Kabir, who considered the clone like a son, uses Freddy and Rocky’s clones to further his plans. He also clones Azad and kills the real one. Kabir kidnaps Priya and leaves Freddy and Rocky to die, but they kill his henchmen and uncover Kabir’s plan to provoke a war by deactivating Karan Kavach and launching airstrikes against Pakistan and China, tarnishing India’s global reputation.

Freddy, Rocky, Misha, and Pam infiltrate Kabir’s base, where Pam decrypts the password from Priya’s brain. Freddy and Rocky battle their rejuvenating clones, eventually luring them into a power grid, causing them to explode. Kabir launches the airstrikes, but Freddy and Rocky manage to kill him. Priya reveals that “Eklavya” is the password, reactivating Karan Kavach and averting the airstrike and a potential war. The team escapes the base, but Kabir awakens, still alive.
