Manjummel Boys Story Line
In 2006, a group of friends from an arts club in Kochi set off for a fun trip to Kodaikanal during the Onam vacation. They stumble upon the Guna Caves, a spot famous for its connection to a film called “Gunaa.” Ignoring warnings from a tourist guide named Dominic, they venture into restricted areas of the caves, intoxicated and happy.
While etching their group name “Manjummel Boys” onto the cave wall, a friend named Subhash falls into a hidden hole. Initially thinking it’s a prank, panic sets in when he doesn’t respond. They seek help from locals who reveal the hole’s dangerous history – 13 people have vanished there. The police accuse them of foul play, worsening their plight.
Despite reluctance from authorities, they rally to rescue Subhash. Lowering their friend Siju into the hole, they face challenges but eventually rescue Subhash. After secretive treatment, Subhash slowly recovers from his trauma. Siju’s heroism gains recognition, leading to him receiving a medal two years later.
Their brave tale of friendship and rescue captures hearts, leaving a lasting impact on their small town.
