story line

Bobby, a communist student union leader who struggles with anger control, is the main character of the film. He gets into an argument with Bulliah’s brother, a local politician, and accidentally pushes a college student who he’s been pursuing to try suicide. After a small mishap, Bobby re-connects with Lilly, a childhood friend, and their friendship changes Bobby’s course. Bobby gets to know Lilly and her love of cricket via her, and he eventually falls in love.

Lilly advises Bobby, in spite of his fondness, to look within for solace instead of using force. During a momentous occasion, Bobby professes his love, but Lilly rejects him out of concern about his rage. Bobby promises to curb his violence and sets out to win her back from Hyderabad.When Bobby gets involved in a deadly conflict, Lilly gives Bobby a difficult choice: he has to decide between his violent impulses and their future together. This puts their love to the test. Bobby throws Lilly away out of rage, only to later regret his actions.

After realizing his error, Bobby sets off on a quest for self-discovery and inner harmony. He re-encounters Lilly three years later, at which point she is dealing with emotional and physical damage. Bobby travels with her to Kerala as part of a therapeutic journey, strengthening their relationship.

While attending a friend’s wedding, Lilly unexpectedly pops the question to Bobby. But Bobby understands Lilly’s extent of suffering after hearing about her horrific sexual harassment encounter. He faces the offender out of a strong sense of support for her and stays by her side until she musters the courage to speak up.

Bobby and Lilly make up despite their turbulent history by accepting who they really are and encouraging one another on their adventures. Bobby drops Lilly off at the National Cricket Academy in the movie’s epilogue, signifying their rekindled devotion to one another.
